The unique design has the motor spinning 2 large cast iron fly wheels that hold a large amount of Kinetic energy. When the splitter is engaged the rack drops down onto a pinion housed in the center of the 2 large fly wheels. All the built up kinetic energy from the fly wheels travels at high speed through the rack onto the log driving it through the wedge.
The big advantage is the speed in which this machine can split wood with a cycle time of just 3 seconds. And very low maintenance compared to oil pump driven log splitters.
This fast action splitter will save you time and money with its super fast 3 second cycle time. It is powered by a reliable 7 HP 4 stroke petrol engine that is very easy to start.
Maximum log size is 520mm long and up to 400mm diameter. It has two wheels on the back along with a handle on the front to help manoeuvre ability. Two handed operation helps keep hands clear of the blade.
Please note that due to the fast action of this machine one of the compromises is that it doesn't have the raw drive through anything power like a hydraulic splitter may have, so larger knotty pieces of timber may not split with this machine.
