    3HP Belt Drive Compressor

    Good value for the specifications of the machine. You will be paying 1.5 to 2 times more for a similar although higher quality compressor from compressed air system suppliers. So if your a home workshop, DIY guy like myself it makes good sense as it's unlikely to get a hard life. The pressure unloading feature which allows the motor to keep running with the compressor unloaded will reduce motor issues.
    The fitting and quality on this machine isn't high although I think the basic components of the compressor and motor are reasonable quality.
    Examples of poor fitting on my machine were the compressor driven pulley taper didn't match the shaft taper, the motor and compressor pulleys weren't in line which can lead to belt wear and potentially throwing a belt and the motor pulley was a press fit on to the motor shaft without any locking grub screws. Also the belts were slightly different lengths so the shorter one will do most of the driving until it stretches and wears. Both belts were identical models. The general painting and finish is lower quality too.
    Examples of lower quality parts are the pressure switch, some of the fittings and above mentioned belts.
    However this machine is built for a price point and with the three year warranty I believe it's good value.
