All Reviews for ToolShed Thicknesser/Planer Bench Top

    goes surprisingly well

Put through a few hundred meters of timber and its going great.
    - Just don't try to bite off too much each pass
    - when thicknessing a thin stick to flick the shavings from blocking the shoot is an idea
    .- Clamp it down
bit of a fiddle to change the shoot when changing function but I reckon I payed for it with the bits I have done.
    Little head scratching with setup.
on the plus, compact, feed works well, chocks like shaving bed

    not great quality

First time buying a "Toolshed" brand, and possibly the last time.

A bargain price, but quality is low.
The blade cover didn't attach straight when tightened.
The fence couldn't be tightened to 45deg angle as the locking handle for tightening got in the way of the fence.
Manual was extremely difficult to understand.

Left over screws from assembly, and no clear instructions on where they go (or if they are spares).
The Thicknesser is powdercoated, so this started rubbing off and permanently marking the wood after 6 or so pieces.

Recommend to either spend more for quality, or get another brand.
