All Reviews for ToolShed Table Saw 255mm with Folding Stand

    Good and grunty

This is my first table saw and I'm very pleased with it. It's powerful, sturdy, and very well priced (I think). I've also found the fence to be well designed and the measurement guide well calibrated.

This isn't to say it's perfect. The wheel that raises/lowers the blade doesn't turn quite as smoothly as it might, and the saw is very loud (though I don't know if it's any louder than others).

The one really annoying thing for me is that the manual seems to have been produced before this iteration of the saw. Specifically, the blade guard represented in the manual is different from that included with the item, and figuring out how to attach the damn thing was not remotely intuitive.

    Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear you're having problems, we have sold plenty of these saws with no issues. We even have reviews that say it cuts straight and true!
If you take the saw into one of our stores they'll be happy to show you how to set it up properly.

You get what you pay for...

I bought this saw during the first Covid lockdown. I wish I'd seen it first.
I have used it lots. It is powerful enough, but it is frustrating. The main problem is that the fence is just hopeless. It's nowhere near rigid enough, and you can't assume it is square. So, before you cut, you have to laboriously measure from one of the table grooves to the fence, front and back, to ensure it is square. Also, if you adjust up the read adjuster so it grips solidly, the fence become shard to move smoothly.

Better saws have either a very rigid fence, or a rack and pinion system on each end of the fence to ensure it stays square as you wind it across.

I suppose you get what you pay for, and it is cheap for a table saw.
