We are sorry that the customer had this experience and the repair was unsatisfactory. We believe should have been a simple, and straight forward repair, and have requested the tool returned for full investigation in house. When learning of the situation, our lower South Island rep was proactive in working with the store to provide the customer with a refund.

    didnt work well !

Unfortunately I bought this as it was in stock, Iwas going to get the dewalt one ( which i did in the end)
I took this home , put the 120 grit pad supplied on it gave it quick blast on the bench .. OK .. smelt like a train set engine motor .
off to sand some weather boards , pulled off the sanding disk to fit an 80 grit and the whole bottom sanding pad and assembly fell out ! the factory hadnt put the retaining screw or washer on it .. unfortunatly my toolshed didnt any more .. so it got sent off to repair ! bit annoyed but I have 4 other ROS sanders, Bosch GEX , festool and a mirka Deros ( all really too good to sand weather boards and they break when thyre dropped !) It was sent to Roscos in Dunedin took a couple of weeks. got it back and and the repair was very poor , they had fitted a large oversized washer and screw over ythe complete bearing so the Random bit didnt work and you couldnt hold the sander , ( I called Hikoki NZ spares dept ,, the washer isnt stocked in NZ .. ) so another trip to the Toolshed ,, I got them to order me a Dewalt one in .. and left with them .. got a refund in the end .. Not the toolshed fault ,,, they did theyre part Des and Mel did theyre bit .. I later read a few reviews on the orange shed and the reviews arnt glowing .. .
