The set comes in a smartly crafted wooden box, individually organised and printed with the plug size to easily organise all the separate pieces. Crafted with 9mm shanks, these bits are made to fit most drill presses.

These Plug Cutters are designed for use on wood, where the plug cutter is used to create wooden plugs, or dowels, that can be used to conceal or fill holes in your timber projects with the same type of wood, or the use of contrasting wood can create a unique effect in your project.

One of the most common uses of Plug Cutters is to conceal screw heads; in this process you would choose the desired plug diameter based on the size of your screw head, and drill out a wooden plug from a separate piece of board. Note: the depth needed for the plug, and the direction of the wood grain for a clean cut.

From here you have a wooden plug that can be inserted into the hole on your project; glue it in, sand it down and you have a flat, clean surface.
