Nice guide set up and works on Festool,Milwaukee and tooshed tracks

I have a set of those red woodpecker copies of the parrallel guides and they are junk ,, too fiddly and two cuts are never exactly the same .
I asked the Makita rep and he said they only fit the makita rail ..( took him 4 months and a quite a few emails to actually give me the wrong answer ! )
i tried to find an online review of these but failed .. apart from Makita Germany which of course didnt say if they fitted my Festool tracks .

the guides slide on the rail outer groove and when you push the locking button home they stay firmly in place . no tool and nothing to loose
you will have to calibrate them to your saw and rail which takes 10 minutes once .
The measurement track slides along the extrusion with a bit of pressure , so once you set both the top and side rules you need to add a drop of glue to keep them from moving , but too much if you have to change the setting due to blade or saw change .
To cut strips that are narrower than the rail you have to use the two cast thi rip pieces , these slide down the extrusion and click into place on the stop , there is a very small amout of back and forth play about 0.1mm it feels more but in real use i havent noticed it adding to any inacurrracy .
to remove them simply push the blue button and they slide off ,
The cast narrow rip pieces are about 6mm thick and nice and solid .
The stop block is solid and the measurements are easy to read
    max cutting width is 980mm
even on a 3m rail they Parallel guides dont make it unweildly or too heavy

The extrusion also takes the standard track clamps and rapid clamp etc plus the rail joiners should you with to buy two sets and join them together ( but at that cost the Benchdogs 500 kit wouldnt be much dearer inc postage from the UK )

These arent in the Benchdogs or TSO league but nor is the cost

I cant believe that i dont see more of these in use on sites I visit ..

PS the instructions are typical no words and just pictures ..
