    I was using this spade to loosen up AP20 shingle that had been a base under tarseal that I was removing and replacing with concrete. (I did not use the spade bit on the tarseal; used the chisel bit for that! ) I had 4 of these bits break on me. They break at the neck. To their credit, the Toolshed replaced the bit each time until the last one when I agreed to pay extra and buy a Makita version instead.
    Some of these bits fractured within the first hour of use. I don't believe the casting material used is suitable for a bit to be used with a demolition tool.
