All Reviews for ToolShed Bench Mount Sand Blaster

    Be prepared to modify

The air filters cannot cope with too much air from the sand blasting gun - like 10-12 cfm (like the Toolshed TSC350B) so the glass beads (TS-GL) escape out the cone filter on the top rear right. Glass dust comes out the door seals too. So am about to fit a small bagless vacuum cleaner with a Hepa filter to the hole where the pad filter is at the top rear left.

This dust leaking aspect is a common complaint on the equivalent unit on Amazon too. The 12 volt fluro light is very weak - as expected - so will change it to LED.

We used it about 30 minutes and were very pleased with the cleaning of the 40 year old brake callipers and related parts.

Note, a filter / water trap at the air compressor is recommended. I used a TSFR-2 with Aro fittings on both sides so that it plugs directly into the factory outlet. A metal bracket across the handle supports it and carries the weight of the air hose etc.
